Favourite Quote:
“No one escapes pain, fear, and suffering. Yet from pain can come wisdom, from fear can come courage, from suffering can come strength- if we have the virtue of resilience”
– Eric Greitens, Resilience
If you are looking to embark on a journey to become the best version of yourself or looking to navigate challenging life transitions, I will be honoured to walk with you on this journey of self-growth and self-discovery. As a clinician, my work is inspired by my life experiences as a former physician, a mother, an immigrant, and a person of colour. With a special interest in helping individuals with a history of trauma, I believe that each individual is unique in their experiences, values and strengths. I strive to provide a collaborative and safe space for my clients to identify these strengths and steps to move forward.
I have gained experience working with young adults, adults and seniors seeking help for stress, anxiety, depression, trauma including PTSD and CPTSD, along with uncertainty, grief, life transitions, inter-personal conflict and more. I strive to cultivate a practice that is culturally humble and rooted in inclusivity, empathy and empowerment.
As a counsellor my goal is to provide you with a space where you can focus on your thoughts, feelings and needs. I am here to help you uncover more about yourself and move towards what is meaningful to you. As your therapist, apart from focusing on immediate coping needs I encourage self-reflection and self-exploration as a way of gaining a deeper insight into your thoughts and beliefs to facilitate long term wellbeing.
